We are delighted to annouce that we have won Independent Multiple Operator of the Year at the SLTN Awards 2018, beating off stiff competition to win the prestigious award for the second time in the last three years.

SLTN (Scottish Licensed Trade News), the fortnightly publication for the Scottish drinks, leisure & hospitality industry awarded the DRG due to its physical expansion alongside the group’s commitment to staff development including the launch of a Modern Apprenticeship programme.

We are committed to training and developing our young team members to be the Head Chefs and Managers of the future. Our vision is to recruit ambitious individuals with a strong desire to succeed and give them the right training to take both the company and their own careers forward.

We are Scotland’s largest independently owned restaurant group with locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Manchester and Belfast.

Founded 32 years ago with the opening of the first Di Maggio’s in Glasgow’s West End in 1985, we have steadily expanded and now have 20 restaurants over 9 brands in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, and 4 food court outlets in Scotland, Belfast and Manchester, employing over 1000 staff in total.

Brands within the DRG include Di Maggio’s, Amarone, The Anchor Line, Atlantic Bar & Brasserie, Barolo Grill, Cadiz, Café Andaluz, The Citizen and the brand new Bath St. Burger which opens its doors on Wednesday 14th November.

Not ones to rest on our laurels, we have just launched Native Glasgow, an Art Deco-inspired Aparthotel in collaboration with Native of London. Situated in the Edwardian seven-storey building on St Vincent Place above The Anchor Line and Atlantic Bar & Brasserie, this new venture will not only build the DRG brand but attract additional business from the guests.
